Building on the success of this project we are now working with the PCT to implement the PCTI EDT Solution.This add-on module will allow practices to receive clinical correspondence, including discharge summaries, from hospitals directly into their Docman document management solution and therefore into their connected clinical systems.
The project will allow practices to realise the benefits of a speedier transfer of information about patients, which is a key deliverable of the national NHS strategy.
Initially documents will be sent from St Marys Hospital, which is part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The PCT plan to bring other hospitals into the solution over the coming year, watch this space ...
